WHEN YOU THINK YOU DON'T NEED GOD ANYMORE

“...His fame spread far and wide, for he was greatly helped, until he became powerful.” 2 Chronicles 26:15

Sin is what happens when we decide we can do things our own way instead of God’s way.

King Uzziah was greatly helped by the Lord until he became powerful. But somewhere along the way, he began relying on himself instead of God. It’s easy to do the same thing. When life is going well, we can forget how much we need the One who brought us through it all.

We have nothing to gain by disobeying God, but we can lose so much when we do. Just as unhealthy food slowly affects our bodies, neglecting our walk with God, slowly affects our hearts. We may not notice it at first, but little by little, our love for Him can grow cold, our faith can weaken, and our desire to spend time with Him, can fade.

When we know something isn't right in our lives, it's tempting to push it aside and hope it will go away. We make excuses, blame others, or try to convince ourselves that what we're doing isn't really wrong. Before long, we may even start avoiding prayer, God's Word, and the very people who may have helped us get back on track.

Remember Adam and Eve? After they disobeyed God, they tried to hide from Him. We can do the same thing today. But we can't hide anything from God, and the wonderful truth is that He doesn't ask us to hide from Him. He invites us to come back to Him.

When we keep ignoring what we know is wrong, our hearts can slowly become hardened. We start making excuses, instead of admitting our mistakes. That's why it's so important to listen when God corrects us and turn back to Him while our hearts are still tender toward Him.

But here's the beautiful part: God doesn't give up on us! Isaiah knew he was a sinful man, yet God still called him and used him in a mighty way. God can use us, too, when we're willing to admit our faults, receive His forgiveness, and let Him lead us.

God is patient with us because He doesn't want anyone to perish, but wants everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Yes, our choices can have consequences, but God is always ready to welcome us back when we turn to Him.

If you've drifted away, don't be afraid to come home. Start talking to Him again. Open His Word. Spend time with Him. Let Him soften your heart and renew your love for Him. You don't have to fix everything before you come to God. Just come as you are, with an honest heart, and let Him help you take the next step.

The truth is, we were never meant to live life without God. We need Him every single day. Depending on Him isn't weakness; it's where our strength begins. And when we obey Him, not just because we have to, but because we love Him, our walk with Him becomes something we truly want.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, forgive us for the times we've tried to do things our own way instead of trusting You. Help us recognize when we're drifting away and give us humble hearts that are willing to turn back to You. Teach us to depend on You in everything, even when we don't understand what You're doing. Help us love You more, trust You completely, and follow Your ways because our hearts truly want to. Thank You for Your patience, Your forgiveness, and Your unfailing love. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We should ask God for every decision, every turn and every situation in our lives. Some time ago, i was being intelligent and snart, was relying on my own self instead of getting towards God and i was thinking i was helping my family but no, i was not. I should have trusted more on God.

In our world, the more intelligent we think we are, the more we fall in Satan's grip. Instead, submitting to God and His will is the ULTIMATE ANSWER to any question. He is THE ANSWER.

Incredible how you are a slave to one book written thousands of years ago. That is complete brainwashing
