Random thoughts i’ve had recently
- I listened to a podcast about AI boyfriends and how women are using them to avoid real life men because real life men have become intolerable and abusive. A few days before, I saw a video about Universe 25 where mice in an enclosed system, given everything they could ever need, eventually break down to the point where the males all become aggressive and violent and the females all escape to cells within the utopia where they can’t be reached and live alone. Looking at the social media universe, I seriously have started to believe that Universe 25 is happening in real time. Women are avoiding men because men refuse to make each other accountable, instead, fighting over resources that are plentiful and women who are removing themselves more and more away from men because of their own actions. I know I have not seen much from men worth remaining in contact with them. There are only two that currently, I feel like I have a meaningful relationship with. I have stopped looking all together.
- Men are happy to blame other men for the fact that men are being assholes and making women turn away, but they aren’t interested in standing up to those same men to make them stop and behave better. I hear men complain that other men are making the “good men” look bad, but…what are the ones who claim they are the “good” ones doing to reverse that? Not much. I’m not asking for white knighting. I am asking that men realize that only they can prevent the “bad”men from behaving badly because the “bad” men don’t listen to women. Once they realize that men as a whole have created this social scenario and they make changes will things actually change. But…It hasn’t yet and probably won’t in my lifetime.
- I don’t want to pick on men only. Communication is something that we seem to be getting very horrible at. No one wants to spend the time to ask questions that help each other understand the conversation going on. Especially when assuming things is so much easier to make us dislike each other. We, as a whole, have really lost our innate ability to get to know each other on deep levels. The three major conversational scenarios I see these days are:
You’re wrong and I’m right, so I’m going to insult you
I only want to know you in the ways it benefits me
I’m bored and not really interested in taking the time to really get to know you and ask questions
This is a very sad state of our world. The only ways we can convey our thoughts are through words, whether spoken or written. Our unwillingness to want to understand each other and take the easier ways of anger and hate makes me wonder why we bother to talk to each other at all. What is the point if there is no positive outcome?
- I think I’m just going to become reclusive again and just live my life alone without having to deal with the world at large. It’s a fairly ugly place that we were never meant to exist in, but beacue no one has any desire to provide anything positive to it, living in my own world sounds a lot nicer.
