Ever evolving
Hey folks, I just want to share what's going on between my ears, not a whole lot haha,but this is it:
For each of the 3 things I'm most into, MUSIC is powerfully intruding in the book space. Last night was exploring in the extreme metal realms and found some of the good in a genre known as Power Electronics, oh it's like it's just what I always wanted in some ways, it's got the ongoing minimalist beat I love so much in folk like Reich,Glass and Nyman, but crunchy and hard like the riffs that happens too quickly in normal metal.
And long albums, coming to around 5 hours long.
The art of noise making, how much you can do with it!!
And seeing some videos of people who go into depth on what makes stuff good or not,finding the words to describe the kinds of sounds that I find wondrous and invigorating!!
All the sub-genres and all that is confusing to me, but I like what I like, and there needs to be some time invested in learning about them so I can at least talk about them a little, so that is what i'll be adding to my time spending on top of reading. And compiling lists of 200 for a whole variety of things that compose the Trinity, however the film department is off on holiday,might never come back, but i'll leave a light on for cinema if it should ever return. Books and music,so much to not only discover,but discover the means of speaking of them.
