I pronounce it as bo-lo-nya 🤣

But only because I know what the GNA sounds like in Italian

because english is a funny language lol

Brits and Yanks aren't well-known for respecting / preserving the original pronunciaiton of words / proper names, even though it would only take a bare minimum of effort to do so

Every Brit and Yank was born as a blank slate, and had to be educated on a multitude of other things, but this stuff was just a bridge too far
