I shall dispense with visual entertainment
Yesterday was dismayed by how Prime displayed it's offerings, and that means its add ons as well, when searching under the Movie selection all these tv shows appear, it's like it's assembled by unthinking poorly programmed things, and most of what catches my eye are the things that I have fond memories of, but don't necessarily wish to see again.
What shall fill up my time more than enough shall be the all important readings, 80% from the e-readers, 20% from audiobooks. That is my royal path towards the culmination of my earthly activities.
I keep trying though to keep films and its bastard son tv shows into the mix, those had it's time only in the past, and sure a lot of them remain unfinished, but like spilled milk not one tear must be shed for them, they are at their best merely time fillers.
My memories of the finest films are enough, and even if I saw nowadays what would have constituted one of them, it would still be improperly appreciated, for the mindset nowadays is suffused with the thoughts of the end, the end has no place for visual entertainment.
For with fine films that evoke these kinds of sensibilities would only cause a kind of mental distortion. It was when I was in my middle phase when films of those kinds spoke wonderfully and sonorously, they were prophetic beacons hearkening to the time that is now, which is wholly given over to books, and philosophical/aesthetic reflection.
