What helps you to decompress after a tough day?

I'll go first. I think, it really depends on the day. I do have a few go to's. Taking some time away from socializing usually helps. Listening to an audiobook or podcast. Doing something creative. Cuddling with my fiance. Watching some of favorite my cartoons or movies, from my childhood.

If I had a hectic day that put on a toll on my emotions then I take some klonopin which is my anxiety meds.

If it’s just a more less normal day I usually play with my dogs and cats. I have 3 dogs and 3 cats. So there’s a lot of playing going on!

@Softy1 I also take anxiety medication as well....I miss having a cat. I freaking loveee cats. Everything about them. Especially, kittens their little toe beans and meows are the cutest. My fiance, has always been more of a dog person. He did fall in love with the cat I used to have though. I have considered, getting a dog, but I tend to get overstimulated easily. I am afraid of getting a dog that barks non stop. I know, not all of them are like that. Are there certain breeds that don't bark as much? Or does it usually depend on well trained they are? I grew up with chihuahuas, I felt like they would bark non stop. They had such a high pitched bark too.🤣🤣

@HelloItsMeAgain I have a chihuahua and a chihuahua mix and a Great Pyrenees ( which is a big dog) they pretty much bark some loud and when the Great Pyrenees barks it’s a loud deep bark. They are kept in the house and let into the backyard to play or do their business.

All of them including the cats are rescue animals.

@Softy1 I have always wanted to adopt a cat from a rescue. That is really sweet, that all your animals are from a rescue. Yet, incredibly heartbreaking at the same time. Breaks my heart, that there are so many animals that need homes. Have you ever fostered an animal?
