Time doesn't heal pain, but we both get accustomed to it and as humans we are programmed to move forward.

@AgniousPrime: ya, sure. Maybe time doesn't heal pain, but our memory isn't able to keep one moment in our forefront for very long.
I had a traumatic event let's see.. 19 months ago. And last February I still couldn't see light at the end of the tunnel. Weird now, a year later, I can't even imagine being in such a dark place.
Humans are very similar to saplings in a recent cut forest. We have an instinktful, unstoppable will to grow towards the sun. Even if you did/do nothing, and even if you can't see it, your spirit is hard at work rebuilding itself.
