Frozen in thought
Sometimes my grief hits at random.
Someone handed me a packing slip today, multiple pages.
I look at it without seeing.
In the bare, real, unmasked world, I am frozen in time.
I can only see her dead body.
Past the paperwork in my hands.
I see her. Frozen in a time I can't redo.
Even now I stare at my hands on the keyboard. Paused.
I am frozen.
