When did you last extend the “olive branch” and what was the result?

I honestly can’t remember the last time I did. I’m usually hurt to such a degree that extending one is far from my mind because what’s done is done.

But if I heard through mutual friends that they were struggling, I would swallow everything and extend one in case they needed extra support. I just haven’t been in that situation yet.

I usually don't. Because I'm hateful like that. But I did reach back when this woman I used to work with handed me one. We were bitter enemies for the longest time after we got mad at each other and she tried several times & I just kept pushing her away until finally I realized she really wanted to be friends again so the last time she tried, I took it and she told me she loved & missed me.

I tried to extend it to my Dad who I've been estranged with for years now. It ended badly and left me feeling heartbroken and I will not extend another one.

Many times recently, taking a well deserved break.
