What does it mean when a person asks me how I am, BUT

Walks on by , keeps walking while asking me how I am. This one lady does it often, someone I am friends with. It just seems really rude. She isnt really waiting for me to respond. I dont, i am just always feeling like wth.

I really don’t see it as being rude, you just seem to have two different ways of looking at the question “how are you?”

If you’re wanting to have an actual discussion, probably better to let her know that it’s been awhile and you’d love to catch up and talk.
