Just a thought ....
People who like to prey on others and hurt them... How do they know the person they are preying on isn't also crazy... Maybe in a different way. You can't always tell by looking at people .

They are attracted to those who have so much shame they would struggle to seek out help. And would struggle to detach emotionally.
That's mainly it.
They will target you if they know they can get away with it. They don't usually scan for aspects of craziness, because their focus is on victimizing you.

@Miram I agree . But sometimes those same things can let you turn into the same ...quickly...in that situation. I like to study the psychology of serial killers ...etc. And I was thinking of the Nightstalker climbing in people's windows. He would have been in for a rude awakening if he had tried to climb into my house when I was still living at home.
