Engrossing day so far
A little religious debate is going on in one of my older posts, i like seeing the points of view being expressed there.
I will never be smart enough, or devout enough to give good enough points of view myself, which is why i would only start an opportunity for others to duke it out, and then see what people will eventually say.
And when i feel like saying something it will be independent from an active discussion.
I see discussion about religion as being of a kind where 2 sides can agree to disagree. Does this happen for people at all, any experiences you can share?
My current thoughts on Christianity
It's to me not about origins, although that could be a good place to plough the soil.
Rather i see it more along the lines of human nature
What's going on in the world too, that and human nature.
Is human nature without a need for any refinement?
Surely we all see that the human species is going through something during these times.
Been happening since antiquity i know, but the current is always magnified by being lived in.
All my environment, minus the internet would treat doubt as so out of left field, like how in the world could you not want a savior, isn't it the most reasonable thing ever?
I'm caricaturing of course, but it does seem like that.
From a believer's pov -- the world is falling apart and away from God
From a skeptic's pov -- it's all absurd when you look at it objectively
From the heart -- i think there should be more from the heart communication, there is too much focus on differences, without the least desire to adapt, to bend over for the sake of common decency.
The winning an argument disease, i'm immune to it, until at some unforeseen time i've gathered and soaked up enough material to actually put a 2 cents into a topic.
