I remember when my husband's mom said she wouldn't babysit my son because I wasn't paying her enough.

I was hurt. I thought I paid her good for the two hours that she watched him. I didn't have enough money for daycare so we didn't have anymore children. I still resent her for that.

I have never heard of a grandparent charging to babysit. Most beg for the opportunity.
