I remember when my husband's mom said she wouldn't babysit my son because I wasn't paying her enough.

I was hurt. I thought I paid her good for the two hours that she watched him. I didn't have enough money for daycare so we didn't have anymore children. I still resent her for that.

Grandmothers should watch at no cost, that's an unwritten rule
@NativePortlander1970 I think so too. She has always been a stay at home mom and I only asked when I really needed her. I didn't take advantage of her like some of the other family members did.
@Spoiledbrat Regardless, her grandmother card should be revoked.
@NativePortlander1970 But I gave her all my tips and only left him there for 2 hours a day 3 days a week. I worked weekends and nights. Eventually I started to resent my hub too because he had a day job. So I went to college and got my associate degree and got a better job. But by this time my son was in school all day and I got off work in time to pick him up from school.
@Spoiledbrat Spouses that don't help with the children are the worst of all.
