Time to find a new therapist. I hope you haven't been paying her.

Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
She's breeched the terms of your agreement repeatedly and offered nothing but belated excuses.
That's highly unprofessional and she must know that.
Might be an idea to confront her and suggest your own terms of meeting that are more acceptable to you and when you have that conversation ensure that you either have somebody with you to witness the verbal agreement or maybe record the conversation including the agreement and if she breeches it again report it to whoever recommended her to you.

No, your intuition is right.

First of all the craziest people on the planet I have ever met in any profession are therapists.

I have met several of them because my dad owns a lot of commercial buildings that I help manage and we rent to this profession often. I have not met one yet that I thought had it totally together.

I am not sure why this is but I think they go into this industry because they have serious problems in their own life that they are trying to figure out.

You would probably be more qualified to be giving her advice. I am not kidding ...lol

Notice the warning right by her elbow ...just saying

Thanks everyone for your responses and yes I am going trust my intuition as again she has done this before and she has my phone number and actually just texted me yesterday about seeing me today, so why would she say she tried calling me today and she could have texted me instead of emailing me as I assume everyone knows texting is quicker plus she waited 42 minutes to send me that email. Haha thanks for listening to my rant and NO I am not going see her again.

I've seen this sort of thing myself. You aren't crazy, and do trust your instincts. This isn't a good situation and if you're paying for help, you deserve better than this.

This is why I don’t see therapists anymore, the last few therapists I saw exhibited this behavior before saying I don’t need a therapist, maybe that’s what this one plans on doing

Maybe she is trying to test your response to seemingly rejection, how you react when people treat you as a side issue?I would tell her youre packing her in and see what she says.

Emergencies do happen. You can say that you never got the call or text. And that you were on zoom.

can we say "irresponsible" 🤷

I don't buy it when they say they call and there's no call in my recent list and there's no text in my text messages from them. If they did it, the calls or texts should be there. Maybe she has a bad habit of thinking she can brush off Zoom meetings easier than face to face appointments. If you really like her and she works for you you may just have to suck it up too her bad habits and go on with her or if you're not that happy with her, start looking for someone else? Good luck.

Therapists are not always the best humans. I'd bounce, find someone who cares
