how do you react to a helpline worker who doesn't sound very interested in what you have to say

[c=A69800][i]i phone a helpline sometimes to talk about my thoughts, and tonight i spoke to a woman who sounded disinterested in what i had to say? long silences at the end of the line, she would say ' yeah' 'oh right'.....from time to time and repeat back what i told her at times....but, otherwise, that was it, just silence at the end of the line.

hows that supposed to help? and to add, these are paid workers, they're not volunteers on this line.....any thoughts?[/i][/c]
