40% of marriages end in divorce. The financial split and payments are devastating. Is it not better to enjoy the single life, have more money and more freedom, have time to yourself, your work and your hobbies and have the opportunity to be with and sleep with multiple people?

For me, as I’m committed anyway, it’s more a move of legal convenience than anything. Super romantic, I know. Were it me 5 years ago I’d be agreeing with you though. Just depends on your station in life and how you and your partner align practically.
