Sandra Bullock on Forgiveness

No hidden agenda here folks. I saw it on IG. As you know Sandra was married to bad boy Jesse James and it didn't end well. From what i read, he did her pretty dirty. Anyway, here is her take on Forgiveness and I think it is spot on.

Emotional maturity and smart! What others do is on them. How we react is on us.
I think many hang onto it because it gives them validation in feeling they were wronged and sometimes it can be a victim mentality.

@Magenta well to be honest, i would take the forgiveness out period. if someone hurts someone, why forgive them? they aren't going to do the same for me. I just cut them out like a cancer. My ex for sure

@akindheart Don't we do it more for ourselves and our mental and emotional well being?
akindheart · 61-69, F
@Magenta not me. I reserve forgiveness for someone who makes an honest error. someone without bad intent. When someone deliberately hurts me and knows it, I cut them out of my life. I did nothing wrong. I will let God handle them.

@akindheart Ok.
Maybe I misunderstood Sandra's message.

@Magenta you know i had a problem with it too when she says Forgiveness lets you off the hook. I wasn't really sure how to take it and i have watched it many times.

@akindheart 😄I was a bit confused, as you originally said spot on to her message of forgiveness and letting it go.

@Magenta i liked the part that there are people who hurt and don't care. that is spot on. let me change that
