how to deal with someone who has a false view of you

they have a false perception that they won't change.

after i told them the facts about me, they still have the false view, what should my response be?

in the past i've had someone who thought i was non european and non caucasian, because i have a brown complexion, they thought i was from a place in north africa, when the true fact is i'm italian in origin/ancestry, born in the uk, so british. so i am british of italian descent.....but this person thought otherwise, they had a false perception of me they wouldn't change.

so how do you respond to a situation like this?

It is far harder to change the false view people have of you online in a text based media environment.. I have recently experienced this here in SW with another user who totally misread my posts and ended up blocking me.. If people want to avoid misinterpreting others they need to put as much and if not even More effort into reading and understanding the other persons POV then the efforts they put into putting their own POV forward... Sadly some people are so focused on pushing their POV then take little or not time to accurately know the POV of others..

As for your personal situation all you can do is respond with the truth.. If the person does not believe you then there is little you can do.. Maybe you could go and do a genetic test from one of those DNA kit providers and show them the results?? But apart from that???

@Adstar thankyou for your great pov and advice.

Stop bothering abt others' perception. You know what you are which suffices.
