Abolish Housing Authorities
That is true. I dislike housing authorities because there's too many rules that make it near impossible for you to even own a house. For instance there was a space that was away from the neighborhood and in the county that I wanted, it was for 12,000 and I was going to do something creative like a build a yurt from the ground up. Yurts look really nice anyways and can handle winds up to 100 mph so they're pretty solid.
But I got told that since it was next to a "richie" area they couldn't have alternative housing. There was so many rules it made it slim to none of ever owning my own "home." I had to have this, had to have that, had to get this, had to get that. It was almost to the point of being utterly pointless. It's like that everywhere, every housing authority is its own "management" with made up rules on how you should run your own house. Styx goes into the pros of housing authorities, why they were needed but also makes a case for why they should be abolished because it's an outdated concept.
This is why I tend to agree with banning housing authorities.
