The 27th hour of the first timed reading year
Completed Thomas Bernhard's Concrete, a harrowing first person, one paragraph deep dive into procrastination, disquietude, and ill health. The author himself suffered from a life long state of ill health also. This book i've heard inspired William Gaddis' Agape Agape, which i hope to get next year after i enjoy his first 2 - The Recognitions and J R.
Less than 3 hours and i'll be sitting in a public place, waiting for my name to be called so i can wait longer in a small room with images of the human anatomy on the walls. I detest going out like this, drains me just thinking about it, ideally i'd only ever go out to get food, and books and maybe also movies. But i'll have my kindle with me, i'd be toast without it.
On a side note if you have facial hair that goes over the lip, have been drinking coffee, are reading a physical book, and have to cough, don't cough at the book if you don't want to splatter the pages with coffee. I did that a few minutes ago, and i want it to be the last time, and wish hopefully that my words might save another from that ordeal.
