On beliefs and lack thereof

1. God and spiritual things cannot be rigidly and scientifically explained so that those who demand such proof will be satisfied and thus become believers.

2. To have faith is to go against or contrary to reason.

3. The argument is often i see it from both sides feigned, just for the love of contrariness.

my position

Christianity is love it or hate it a part of me as my lung and bones are. I choose to include its study as a part of the whole, and find it extremely interesting to consider all areas of thought in their historical contexts and how they apply to our present day circumstances.

To define what i believe or to say that i do not believe is at times too easy to say, i'd rather be mysterious, to retain a sense of mystery in how i see things. And that practically anything to have existed is useful to consider.

4. Christianity is often touted as a message of love, in order to gain followers to it, it's then a nice thing.

5. In reality as i see it, it can yes provide comfort, but more than that in my opinion it was supposed to be and is most purely thought of as irrational.

6. I love the philosophy of the absurd, and irrationality, science to me has no purpose as does politics, it is strictly for other people who can conduct experiments, and can be effected by what goes on in the world. I am way too detached for any of it.

7. Christianity besides being a religion of love, or agape, it is an indictment on the world, and here there is some things i see both sides to.

a) - is the world doing good, what does it look like warts and all, Christianity would say - aha, it's because of the evils of humanity that we're in such a state

b) - through this supposed good news has sprouted nothing but division and endless bloodbaths, this belief is going beyond it's regular designation points and using force to make it into a worldly entity.

c) - peaceful practitioners and dissenters can get along without denying their own beliefs or lack thereof.

8. Finally, it is my belief that nothing we say, we human all too human people is absolute, what matters is how we go about things, are we being considerate, are we past all notion of level headedness? Are grown up discussions only for those who don't partake in online forums?

Faith and spirituality cannot and probably should not be scientifically explained. However, why is it when someone says they don't believe in God they are always being questioned? "But have you read the Bible?", "Did you understand it?" I see it here all the time. Lack of faith, just like faith, should not be questioned.

Also, science to you has no purpose and it is strictly for people who can conduct experiments. What do you mean? You are wearing glasses in you picture, aren't you? How does something we all, in one way or another, benefit from have no purpose?

There shouldn't be a dilemma, is what I'm trying to say. We shouldn't have to choose between faith/spirituality and science/politics. Logic is not the enemy of faith.

@SW-User To actively use politics and science knowingly i see for others and not myself. It's like another language i have no desire to learn, which would mean to use it in everyday speech.

Thanks for your input, what i think i mean is that when there is no dilemma, then the faith is denuded, the spiritual in a sensual place, the earth being a place where unearthly concepts get explored.
