What if the person closest to you was the devil in disguise?

Like I try so hard to be a good person. But I do occasionally have really bad thoughts. And I don't know why they happen or where they come from. I heard theyre intrusive thoughts. But I read a lot of the news, articles everyday. And someone just snaps and ends up killing their whole family or friends. When they used to be a good person. How does a good person turn evil and twisted so suddenly. I would often think to myself. Will I turn evil one day. But it's not my nature. I rather kill myself then have anyone hurt. But when I'm angry I have trouble controlling myself and my emotions. So I take mood stabilizers. It happens everyday. The person you knew yesterday is not the same person today. And that is a scary thought.

I see this as a matter of lack of confidence.

If you are confident in your actions, you can not succumb to your negative thoughts. You simply reject that as a possible outcome.

Only when you are not confident are you likely to have doubts about yourself.

That lack of confidence is fear. No matter what that fear is.

"Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." Frank Herbert, Dune

There is some Truth in this science fiction story. Not that I'm a believer in most of his stuff.

When agoraphobic person is thought to be ready. Psychologist often suggest they attempt to go out. Whether they do so or not is a different matter. Yet just the suggestion can determine whether they are ready to do so. They would have some confidence in themselves when they are ready. Rather than totally reject the idea.
