While my sausages slowly cook
I've hit upon a new technique for maximal enjoyment of things.
Things as a focused cluster of mainly 2 things really.
So i go back and forth from "intelligent" bookish content on youtube, i thus hear verbiage used "intelligently", and then read a little bit from the kindle, it's amazing how both compliment the other.
Still waiting for my order to be cancelled, but perhaps even before it happens i might get 65 dollars of eBooks, and if the order can't be cancelled, it's not a colossal thing. Last thing we returned physically the postage cost like 30 bucks, and the refund was 160 out of 210.
Warming up to Thomas Bernhard, i want dark and he certainly seems dark, discovered the youtube channel The Channel of a Disappointed Man, who's first bookshelf video revealed obliquely a taste for Derek Jarman. This guy suggests starting with the novel Concrete, because it is a simple example of Bernhard's style for one perspective, which is more multilayered in later novels, and the one most enticing he is adamant about not starting with called Gargoyles.
Better Than Food's Cliff Sergeant has a couple reviews for Bernhard, and what i liked was his point that to be a critic of society, you must also be an even harsher critic of oneself. So true!!
My sausages should be done now, i'll be having them with macaroni and potato salad and coleslaw, mmm mmmm .......:)
