late night thoughts

Sometimes I stop and pause over sayings or proverbs .. People in Arabic say; going into the bathroom is not the same as coming out of it... as a way to threaten someone, as in to tell them, if you get into something or mess with someone, you won't be out of it as easy.. But what does the bathroom have to do with it and why the hell am I thinking these thoughts past 2 in the morning!!!

TBH sayings and proverbs everywhere are pretty weird and stupid. 'Letting the cat out of the bag' is one that springs to mind.

@firefall is there any proverb for letting a potato 🥔 out of the bag?

@BittersweetPotato I believe its more along the lines of ' let sleeping potatos lie'

proving that potatos have a long tradition of calling in sick to work ...

@firefall I think that one springs from when it was common to kill stray cats -by putting them im a sack and drowning them- and the cat would fight like a 'wildcat' which if you letout of the bag, well.... raaaarrrwwwwww
