The other layers amidst the Asian stage
During the prime focus there are other sub categories that will be sprinkled about, it is the purpose of this post to shine a light on them.
Short films + silent films with Chaplin, Stooges, Buster, Lang, Murnau, Svankmajer etc
and over 4 years, 400 other non english films with highlights from the major sets for directors such as Bergman, Fellini, Varda, Melville, Godard, Ceylan, Tati, Angelopolous, Kluge etc.
Lastly there must be at least 30 horror movies from North America and Britain each year, taking place in October, or spread out from Autumn to the end of the year, so there can be some festive themed stuff watched. But i cannot purchase anything but Asian films, with this clause - if there should happen to be a release of the complete films by the likes of Bresson, Dreyer, Tarkovsky Fassbinder or Godard, i will then be released by that oath to snap it up.
Now i shall watch some Chaplin and Stooges as i await the mail, hoping The Human Condition, Sister Street Fighter, and maybe more comes in today. Getting is almost as sweet as watching them. Take care y'all, love the Maggot Happy Meal 🤭
