What do scientists do with failed science experiments?

Really · 80-89, M
The answer you were fishing for? ... There's no such thing as a failed experiment. If the result was not what was expected or hoped for, then you have learned something. Learning is what competent scientists do.

There are no failed experiments. If the results are different from what was expected, it just goes in a different direction. New ideas are formed, new information comes along, and new experiments are conducted.
Release them on the public, ie;covid 19,asbestos, roundup, etc...

They put them on a little island to fend for themselves like they did with the chimpanzees they gave AIDS to back when.

Cover some up. Publish others. Restart the experiment properly. The goal is to do the experiment right
