Why don’t people take animal abuse seriously? They only take action when it’s a person?

I don’t get it, animals have feelings and emotions too, especially dogs if you can watch someone kill a dog you can watch a human get killed right before your eyes. Not only that a lot of these people are only abusing animals because it’s not legal to do this to humans. If it were legal we wouldn’t be safe from these lunatic worthless people. This is why I report animal abusers ASAP.

Some people see animals as inferior to humans and as objects, property or pests. Usually, religious people.
Those people also need to keep up with the latest discoveries regarding sentinent beings.
