Finally found an alternative to Experience Project

I have been for several years longing to find a platform similar to the Experience project which allowed to interact with people from diverse backgrounds with their own sets of struggles. It feels absolutely amazing to find this application and I am looking forward to be of some help to the community who mainly have emotional and mental health issues.

@SW-User Where is what?

@SW-User I think she means the alternative to EP that you claim to have found.
SW-User
@MartinII Alternative to Experience Project is Similar World undoubtedly. Not exactly like EP but fairly close
MartinII · 70-79, M
@SW-User Not, sadly, in my opinion. Not close to EP, nor indeed close to what SW itself was like a couple of years ago.
SW-User
@MartinII Oh I am not aware of what SW was like earlier. Let's hope some updates happen but undoubtedly I truly miss EP
MartinII · 70-79, M
@SW-User Yes, me too. SW has always been technically inferior to EP, in my opinion, but until recently it was similarly tolerant and inclusive. Now, some interests and opinions are considered unacceptable, and many people, including friends of mine, have been forced out.

@MartinII What kind of interests and opinions are considered unacceptable?
MartinII · 70-79, M
@SW-User Well, let me give you one example. People of my generation in the UK frequently experienced corporal punishment at school. (It doesn’t happen now, but still does in some US states and in other parts of the world,) Some of us found it helpful to share our experiences, which was what EP, as its name suggests, was about. A friend of mine, a respectable lady and a grandmother, described how she had been caned at her school, 50 years or more ago, at the same time as some younger girls. She later posted a fictional story based on her real life experience. She was accused by the management of paedophilia and given a final warning. Naturally she was deeply hurt and left. I left too, in sympathy, but returned after a while, partly to keep in touch with a few friends and partly to make my opinion of the management known to anyone who will listen!

@MartinII As long as she portraying that as a fictional story, it seems strange that the management could take those actions. Given that I'm well versed with my country's constitution and the legal system, we are allowed to make statements as long as it doesn't directly intend to defame an organisation.
