Why did I get taller?

I used to be around 4’11-5’1 but now I feel like I’m around 5’3. I haven’t measured my height in a while but lately I’ve noticed I’m taller than a lot of people around me when I go out and I used to always be shorter than most people. I really don’t wanna get too tall…
