I Like to Be Alone With My Thoughts Sometimes

When you are in close proximity to another human being there are three things:

1) They (I) will tell you about what they (I) perceive with their (my) senses in the past, present, or future.
“I saw this... I heard she... It smells like... I feel... this tastes...” In regards to whether we like it or not, whether or not it brings us pleasure or pain.

2) They (I) will tell you what they (I) want.

3) They (I) will tell you what to do or what you “should” do.

As we speak we expect someone to listen and respond, so even in just speaking to someone we are indirectly telling them what to do (listen and respond).

That is it.

So what do you think will happen if you don’t nod your head?

Negative labels.

The purpose of these negative labels is to make you feel bad so as to molding yourself my way or their way. If I use a negative label towards you it’s because I want to mold you my way. If you use a negative label towards me it’s because you want to change me to what you want or prefer.

This is my deconstruction of a negative label, that really, any word that I say or somebody else says that has a negative connotation is because we are wanting to mold them and everything into what best pleases us.

Realize the subjectivity in it.
Realize that you can’t be defined by any word.
Realize that no one really knows you but what you allow to be known about you.
Realize that your worth doesn’t stem from who you know, what you have, or what you can do but in the desires that make you human.

I don’t want to compare myself to anyone anymore.
I don’t want to live my life hiding behind masks to impress others, while not allowing my true self to be known.
I don’t want the desire for money to make me forget the humanity in people where the investor flipping houses loves to keep the greatest profit while the artist who did the hard labor to build and fix the house makes the least amount.
What would happen if we were all investors and entrepreneurs and had NO construction workers?
What would happen if we were all CEOs and no one picked up the trash?
You see?
You see how we are all human, and yet a dollar bill made out of paper makes us value THAT more than the discomfort or toil of another HUMAN BEING.
My perception took a 180 degree turn where as a youngster I admired the rich and famous, and now I am amazed by the unrecognized construction worker, the janitor because it isn’t praise that drives them or great amounts of money... but being inwardly driven, self-motivated.

Know that you can’t be defined.
You can’t be figured out.
Each day is a new start, a new you.
And each day one smile from you could turn a life around.
Be proud of who you are.
