I Get Lost In My Thoughts Sometimes

To want attention, acceptance, and approval.
That is what life is about.
Even if I say, “No, what others think about me does not concern me.”
Well that isn’t very realistic when we do have to follow the law, pay our bills, and attempt to meet standards at our jobs to avoid consequences that we deem more painful.
Will there ever be world peace, is that even remotely possible?
Is there peace within our families, with our coworkers, or within small groups of people?
Do we get excited to negatively criticize and mock our acquaintances, friends, and family the second they turn their backs and walk away?
We are creatures of desires, random desires, who can’t be pleased by another because they can’t read the secret desires hidden within our mind.
“I made dinner for you, do you like it??!!”
“Yes! It’s amazing!”, yet secretly you would have loved something different but you don’t want to hurt feelings or seem ungrateful and inconsiderate.
So world peace in a world of humans with random desires is a paradox where there are a lot of facades, acting, to the point we don’t know what is fake or real.
All I honestly have to offer is to encourage to minimize negative labels and stigmas placed on people.
We will still negatively label people nonetheless because we are selfish and when something doesn’t please us we immediately curse it.
But to be aware of the fact that as people we do share some common perplexities can serve to bring unity and understanding.
We were all forced to adapt to this world as the consequence of an action two other people took.
None of us chose our existence, body, mind, the world, or what it contains in the first place.
We were all made adapt through reward and punishment in order to not be negatively labeled or sent to be fixed or worse.
All in the goal of making us pleasing, productive, and harmless; to survive and eventually make a living by being found useful by others in order to make money.
Whether you like it or not you have to find a way to make money... to live not in the woods or the streets risking your livelihood.
We all have desires and seek after our desires, then seek to flee from what we don’t want.
We are human and because we are trapped in this body of five senses that seek pleasure we are all selfish and we can’t escape that as long as we live.
But a tiny effort to challenge, to redirect our tendencies, to look at another with different eyes; not eyes of wanting to compete or outdo them to shine...
A tiny effort to look at the most unrecognized yet who do so much like the literal construction workers creating buildings and homes, an art form that requires tremendous mental strength and physical capacity yet aren’t celebrated as they should be....
A tiny effort where we notice an increase of self-control when previously we would have lost it, or an increase in personal resiliency...
That is to be celebrated.
No one knows you as you know yourself.
You can’t trust anyone as you can trust yourself.
So you might as well know yourself and take courage in who you are before waiting for the recognition or praise from others in case it never comes, and then you missed out on acknowledging the incredible and worthwhile individual that you actually ARE, independent of the approval of others on your behalf.
All of the issues you describe with people is sin. Everyone's motives, thoughts, words , deeds are stained with sin. True peace comes from Christ. One person saved at a time. The problem is from within people. Christ can only change the heart and truly set a person free from the bondage of sin.

Every human is trying to survive. The idea of heaven is an attempt at the same thing... eternal self-preservation.

If you take the idea of God that we have been taught you have an authority figure, with a reward, a punishment you want to avoid and whom one is most likely to follow for the convenience of pleasure in the afterlife; and yet we can note the lack of genuinity in this “relationship”.

Who would we follow if no one had power, a reward as an incentive, or a punishment as a threat? Who would we be?

We have so much in common, negative labels even that of the word “sinner” are unnecessary. None of us asked to exist. All of us are trying to adapt if we want to live. None of us are originally at fault. We can look upon each other with much more empathy and understanding.
That’s part of the sin. We don’t like someone telling us we must follow rules. God is holy and doesn’t sin. He made everything the ever was. All of it. The beautiful heavens, stars, powerful sun and massive oceans. Something much bigger than all of that made those things. He has a right to set a standard which is perfection. Guess what? No one, no human can be perfect. In thoughts, motives, words and deeds. All of it is tainted by sin. Christ who is called Emmanuel, God with us fulfilled or lived a perfect, sinless life. God says the wages of our sin is death. Christ took the punishment, God’s wrath for my sin as a believing sinner. I deserved that. He was resurrected and because cause of that, I will be too. He completed the “work”. What do I need to do to have eternal life with Christ, turn/repent from sin and believe that Christ is who He says He is. That’s the Christmas message. It’s not what goes into the person, such as food or drink that defiles them, it’s all of the pride, hate, envy, gossip, anger, murder, sxl sins that come out of people that show people are lost. Until God changes a person one at a time, from the inside out, then those will have peace with God. Just because I hate following rules doesn’t change truth. God is the same. I want truth. He can change a heart to enjythe rules.
