I would usually say here, "what's wrong with destruction?" Really, if disappointment doesn't destroy, then it's really not doing its job. The word literally means "to undo the appointment, remove from office". In this way, disappointment is really a great purging, the blasted tower scattering shattered shards of false reflections, shot down in the glimmering twilight and laying to dust and vengeance that which is gilded with vanity and self betrayal.
