If the technique used was the "classic" Vodder technique, she didn't do it correctly. The Vodder technique is very, VERY, slow, and light - certainly not hard. I'm not saying it's the only style - it isn't. I'm not saying it's the best for a person- that is up to the therapist and the individual client. There ARE heavier lymphatic techniques, but some claim that the harder ones will just shut down the passage of the lymph. I've learned it, and I've had it. I just choose not to do it.

@Girlbehindthecurtain If the surrounding tissue is knotted up, then the first step of the treatment is to give a general loosening of the surrounding tissue. Only after that THEN should the therapist do the lymph drainage. It's kind of like building a dam across a river, and then feeding the creeks into the river. The dam will still stop things up. The dam (tight surrounding tissues, in this analogy) must be released before the lymph will even have a place to go. This is why many of my techniques- of just about ANY sort- start from the outside and work inward- from the head and feet toward the gut - from the right and left working to the mid-line, etc. It's quite possible the lymphatic work WAS doing what it was supposed to be doing - the lymph just had no where to go with the other avenues still all clogged up.

its a tough massage... Good that you had energy to revive you and sustaimn your strength... Else you feeel exhausted and tired and spent
