Parents' changing mindset

Here - braving the usual hecklers in order to isolate something that's usually in the footnotes. This is also thematically a follow-up to the earliest Questions For Parents in this particular forum's history

Parents, grandparents, carers, aunts/uncles involved in the monitoring and management of kids who are burdened with long-term habitual obstipation.
Did the bathroom warzone, the raised-voices-and-tears struggle to administer suppositories, rectal stimulations and/or enemas, which used to be something you dreaded and regretted and hoped would be brought to an end, soon, eventually become something you enjoyed, relished, because of the sensation of wielding power, and the "achievement" when you succeed in making the kids do the dooey copiously and "on-schedule" ?
And if so, when?

For me, a real turning-point was after M's fainting-in-the-bathroom incident, when the doctors officially gave up trying to treat her.
