Which would you give your obstipating kids as a regular scheduled purge (if you thought that was a good idea) ?

I have given a saline glycerin mix for the enema solution. Very effective but has to be held for 20 minutes for the glycerin to work well.
I mix 2 tsp of plain salt in a qt of warm water and measure 2 cups in a bowl and add 50 ml of pure glycerin.
