Question for parents #5 - observing bowel movements

How often does this happen - and have you, because of their obstipating behaviour, had to continue doing it for many years longer than you once thought you would?

"Observing bowel movements" meaning - not just checking how much dooey they've done in the toilet, but being in the bathroom watching over them when they're doing a dooey - even if you didn't have to "do" them first with a suppository or enema or whatever.
