"...can hardly wait for school to start again"

As I write, we have another week and a half of the summer holidays - and I'm tired and pissed-off - it's become like the covid-hysteria era again, cabin fever, more paranoid/obsessive parental monitoring of the kids' digestive and egestive systems (what they're eating and how they're "doing"), heightened intergenerational tension, more harsh exchanges of words, more punishments, and more punishing purges forced up someone's pong-passage
