Glycerin suppositories

Wondering if there were any moms that used the long-tapered glycerin suppository on their children. I have used both the short torpedo type and the long glycerin suppository. I found the long suppository worked faster and was more effective due to manual retention of the suppository. They weren't meant to be fully inserted and the stimulation provided when the suppository was worked in and out was very effective.

I see this method on those Indian hospital instructional videos - and I'm skeptical.

And I feel the need to point out again that the solid-base glycerin suppositories used in the USA and elsewhere are weaker, and thus less effective, than the gelatin ones used in the UK and elsewhere.

Which is why nowadays, for mild-constipation and "kalilya" usage (e.g potty training or dealing with habitual withholders) I tend to recommend the piece-of-soap method - we mostly use "simple" soap (not perfumed, not coloured) for general use and for soap suppositories, d'eww, it works!.
