I guess it’s possible. I’ve read about it in different circumstances. I’ve had many counselors and therapists. I’ve started and very quickly stopped ERP (a bit over a year a year ago) and I’ve done tons of CBT with different therapists, with different focuses over the last 14 years.
Some helped more than others, and nothing has been a quick process. Which can be really frustrating.
I’ve had multiple therapists who just weren’t the right fit for me. Or we had the wrong focus. And I’ve found wonderful therapists who have helped me more than I could ever explain.
I guess what I mean is.. yeah, I guess it’s possible? There are a lot of different therapies and ways therapists can connect, and not all will be for you
but
It’s also possible that it does help, and I guess that’s worth all the work you put in to trying.

You may need to try to find a new therapist. They are not all the same. They have to be a right fit for you. Also, a lot of times therapy works better when you are also taking meds for your condition. Not sure if that is something you have tried yet or not

@rokrchik1211 Yeah, we are trying a duel approach with meds and therapy. 🙂

@ArminArlert I hope it helps. I know it can be very difficult to find meds that work for you without causing bad side effects.

@rokrchik1211 Fortunately, the meds my little brother take are fine for him. He doesn't think they help, but we may go up a dose.

of course it happens, then you must find a new compatible affordable therapist if you have to pay for your health care.

@Jungleman It will be free for twelve weeks, then we will have to pay, but I don't mind if it helps him. 🙂

It can happen but there are a tons of different methods of doing it and a ton of different types of therapy, try a different person.

Nothing life goes on. I'm not happy about that but well that's kinda all I got. It's not my worst issue. Tbh I feel that therapy is a privilege. If it helps you that's great but if it doesn't then you can still survive.
