Tomorrow is therapy day

I see my therapist most Saturdays. Sometimes I have nothing particular to talk about, and we just chat. Other times I feel like I drain my soul.

It’s odd I have to pay someone just to have someone to listen…
Therapists actually know how to respond and (generally) know not to be insensitive jerks like most people. Definitely different from just talking to some random person not educated in psychology.

In a way having to pay a listener is sad, but on the flip side the benefits far outweigh the possibilities!!

@Quimliqer At least I have a pretend friend lol

@lovelywarpedlemon it’s just not quite the same. 😕
@Dewkissedrose of course not. having a therapist isn't like having a mom either. it's kinda cold, you can't even get a pat on the back. but i hope you feel better. 💜

I’d do it for a sandwich 🥪 or two 😉
I know the feeling.
The doctor I used to see scheduled appointments 30 mins apart. I found it hard to unload in that time.

@Spoiledbrat ouch. Yes. That would suck. Sometimes I don’t get into an issue until 40 minutes in.
I saw a psychologist once for an hour. That was the best appointment I ever had. Most social workers and counselors don't know crap. @Dewkissedrose

@Spoiledbrat I really like who I’m seeing now. I’m glad because it sucks trying to find a good one.
