What do you think about the Novak Djokavic situation in Australia?

Tennis Australia gave him an exemption to play but not an exemption to enter the country, that was up to Immigration and they weren't about to give him an exemption when they had previously disallowed thousands of Australians stuck overseas the ability to return home unless they were vaccinated. I think he got bad advice from his legal team prior to coming here, but it also seems like Tennis Australia and the Federal Government could have done more much earlier to prevent this all unfolding.
