It was only ever going to take some adverse event to upset the delicate balancing act the US had been maintaining. Russia provided that in spades and China is waiting patiently to pick up the pieces after..😷

I know you use a mask emoji after all messages but you can criticise the gov and institutions that have caused this under the guise of covid

@gol979 Actually I have been criticizing the US govt for causing the first GFC with lack of regulation and oversight at several levels and warning of a second dept fuelled GFC (Much worse for the US this time) The US reliance on its status as the reserve trade currency has been its Ace in the hole all along. Its the only thing that allowed the US to stay in business.. But it had to end. Of course, most of those inside the US still cant see the problem as the escalating debt has kept their (apparent) prices stable and employment up while the economy in terms of GNP tanked.😷
