I Love To Watch Industrial Grade Shredding Machines Tear Up Things Like Barrels, Cars, Tires, etc.

@MarineBob We used to collect pallets. They make great storage platforms in basements...and we also used to break them up and use them on our outdoor campfires if we were camping close to home.

@4meAndyou I watched a video of a man in Canada who looks for offers of free pallets. He will drive over and inspect the pallets. If the wood is good enough he will take them and tear them down and make the most beautiful pieces of furniture out of them including inlaid wood. He films the process of each and shows the final products and them posts asking prices then updates it at the end of the videos. Makes a really tidy sum of money, his quality is excellent. At least one person paid him more than what he asked. That is the best use I’ve seen for used wood pallets.

@4meAndyou I would love to be able to do that stuff. He is a pro so had a lot of equipment in his small one-car garage and had everything set up to do it. I just love watching creative people make things out of discarded items. This country would be much better off if many more would do it and get away from corporate purchases a bit more. And they would have unique pieces of furniture too. Not mass-produced.
