Tbh, I'd be screwed because I tend to copy and paste my own edits between documents lol

Like, v1, V2, V3, etc

So the final document would probably just look like an huge copy and paste dump

Dunno why, but always done this 😂

This can't be real, right. Saving every keystroke instead of just the final result, with a timestamp for each? That's a lot of extra data.
@NerdyPotato Every character appearance/disappearance and even every formatting change creates a new version.

This is seeing the entire evolution, which is not only a VAST amount of data, but also very invasive. I wonder what the ToS & privacy terms say with respect to intellectual property...
@SomeMichGuy you don't have to create a whole new version for every keystroke. Just logging those allows you to recreate the state at each point in time. But it's still a lot of data that has to be saved in every document while only one portal uses it? That seems highly unlikely. It might make a little sense when you write it in that portal, but for an uploaded file? No.
@NerdyPotato No, of course not; you keep the initial state and record the diffs, effectively, but recording a cursor point and change for EVERY keystroke...plus formatting deltas...

My point was that you are effectively recording every version of the entire document...smh
