My friend said my Bluetooth on my phone connected to his TV 85 miles away and played a video. Is that even possible?
For starters, we have a very silly relationship where we joke around, prank each other, etc. He's told me stories before that I believed were true until months or years later, then laughed and revealed to me they were jokes. So, I want to know if this one is true, as he's insisting it is! 🤣
I connected my phone to his TV via Bluetooth when we were watching TV one day, so it was still in my list of options when I went to connect it to my TV later. I played a silly video and pressed the option for his TV just to see what it would do, it said it was connected and playing, I disconnected it and tried it again, and then it started playing again and then disconnected and the option was no longer available. I brought it up to him when I saw him a few days later, and he said he saw the video pop up on his TV and he was confused, thought it was an accident, and disconnected it himself. From what I've read online, Bluetooth can't connect from that far away.
So, is he just messing with me, or is there a chance this really happened? 🤣
