It depends on many factors.
You have to be able to hit deep groundwater so the system can continually cycle and not warm up your water source too much in summer. You have to have very reliable sources of power to make sure they will run in the most adverse times.
For me, I've looked into this a little, unless you have a residence that's off grid with many megawatts of solar power; Eh, maybe not the best option
