Do you have a Ring Doorbell or something similar?

I bought one on sale, and it's pretty much me taking out the garbage, taking the dog out, taking out recycling, going too lunch, to the dive bar, home from the dive bar, my son taking the dog out, going to work, coming back from work.

I'd venture only 1% of the time it is alerting me to something useful. The main reason I got it was to see if my Ex is at the house.

Just wait. The aliens will come. :)
@Matt85 They better bring beer.
Yes I have my home surrounded and I love them.
@InterdimensionalSideEye Lol, maybe it would be more entertaining if I did that, not sure my neighbors would appreciate one pointed their direction.
@BrewCityBarfly well I live in a high crime country so it’s necessary. I can also keep and eye on my dogs oh and the moon….
@InterdimensionalSideEye Not much crime where I live. I was out when a hail storm went through and forgot to do a live check.

Wife bought one a couple of months ago, it is still on my workbench
@MarineBob It has usefulness, just thinking a high traffic door isn't the best place. My old place, would have been great on the front door as we mostly used the side door. This place, the side door is off the driveway, and I don't even have a path to the front door.
Yeah we have one.
@DownTheStreet I'm ready to move it somewhere with less activity, mostly need it as a security cam anyways.

No. We've considered it but we're high up off the road
@SW-User I think it is good to know when someone or something is at the house. There was one time I was out and it went off because a stray dog was running around the house. I texted my son to check before letting our dog out. That's the exception, not the rule.
