Dumb tv's - what's good and what's not so good ?

https://pointerclicker.com/best-dumb-tv/

one review site about them.

Samsung QBR and QBR-B series professional displays look good, but not sure if they have a tuner built in for tv channels so that makes them useless for a home TV.

The BEA 'business' tv's seem ideal but I found that are actually semi-smart tv's running 'Tizen' and do not have A/V inputs to connect up an external device like a DVD player (my cheap $32 LG one).

My 14 yr old Plasma tv (a Panasonic 40 inch unit that was given to me) will have to continue on as my TV while I hunt for something to replace it that isn't a 'smart' unit.

I don't do 'Netflix' or anything like that.

FYI my existing TV is a Panasonic TH-42PX8A manufactured in may 2008. Sexy 42 inch plasma jobby with a power consumption of 335 watts according to the product specs. Works good but it's really heavy.
