Good Evening
Today I spent most of the day at the pool. I arrived at 7.30 this morning for training. Most of the usual people were not there. Just me and the Dean of the university who is so sweet and quite a character. Even though I'm just a student she chats to me. Last week she was off to Buckingham Palace for a garden party!
I got out of the pool at 9 to get dried and changed into my lifeguard uniform. I went to the Quad to have pasta and back to lifeguard from 10 until 1.
At 1 the pool manager got back. One of the swimmers wanted to know why there were two lifeguards. We said because we heard he was in the pool!
It is June. It is light almost all day long. It was light when I got up at 4 and now it is nearly 9 and no sign of getting dark.
